| Franciscan Brothers of Peace
"Following after the example of our holy Father, Saint Francis of Assisi and his zeal for living the faith, we, the Franciscan Brothers of Peace, strive daily to be God's messengers of hope and peace to Christ in his poor and homeless ones, the vulnerable, the sick and the dying. And, just as Saint Francis placed his total dependence upon God's provision, we, as a Roman Catholic religious community, have chosen to live totally on divine providence, receiving no salaries or wages for our mission. As such, it would be very difficult to afford a library of the quality which Loome Theological Booksellers, in coordination with the Catholic Library Renewal Network is willing to provide us. As beneficiaries, your generosity to this theological / catechetical reference library will provide the Franciscan Brothers with an excellent resource for our ongoing formation, pastoral and ministerial needs. We thank you very much for your kindness and generosity for this cause, and promise our prayers on your behalf." --The Franciscan Brothers of Peace
Located in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Franciscan Brothers of Peace are committed to live and proclaim the Gospel of Life, devoting themselves to serve and defend the most vulnerable of our society: the pre-born child, the severely disabled, survivors of torture, the poor and the homeless.
The Franciscan Brothers of Peace are in need of a substantial Franciscan spiritual collection as well as Franciscan chant and liturgical texts. They have also requested standard texts in the areas of moral theology and bioethics, ecumenism, and catechetics. Such a library would aid the Franciscan Brothers of Peace by enhancing their spiritual and intellectual formation, supporting their liturgical life, and strengthening their pro-life mission.
